Who We Are
Junia Janvier Operations Manager
Hi! My name is Junia Janvier and I'm originally from Providence, RI, and I'm studying Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences. In my free time, you’ll find me writing poems in my journal and exploring the city. I want for Age of Advocacy to reinforce the capabilities many young girls already have, and make them ready, regardless of the environment, to make positive change in their communities, and beyond!

Ryn Wrench CommunicationsHello! My name is Ryn Wrench, and here are a few tidbits about myself; I’m from Farmington Hills, Michigan and I am currently an undergraduate at Boston University’s college of Arts and Sciences, studying Political Science. In my free time I like to write short stories, play the flute, and spend my time outdoors. Age of Advocacy to me, means connectivity and encouragement. Encouraging my fellow sisters of color to achieve their aspirations, and connecting them to the necessary tools to foster growth and development.

Isabelle Yap Social Media ExpertHi! My name is Isabelle “Izzy” Yap. I’m an Atlanta, GA native studying Speech Language and Hearing Science in Boston University’s Sargent College for Rehabilitation and Health Sciences. I love to cook and take pictures. Age of Advocacy for me is a community of women supporting girls to forge new paths for all women of color by encouraging future change. AOA is an organization I wish existed for me growing up so I’m grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of it now.”

Shateva Long WebmasterHi! My name is Shateva Long and I was born and raised in New York City. I am a student at Boston University majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Deaf Studies. I enjoy creating graphics, painting, and drinking tea of course. When Junia told me about Age of Advocacy, I immediately wanted to jump on board. So many young girls do not receive proper preparation for high school and Age of Advocacy is here to be that support.
